Hardware issues are, plainly said, the worst. The worst thing that can happen to your Xbox One is to get broken after a power outage. A sudden Power outrage and your Xbox One console refuse to restart no matter what is something no one wants to see.

What to if Power Outrage breaks your Xbox One?

1. Reset Power Supply Unit

Unplug the cables from the console, wall outlet and power supply (the power brick is connected two way, so remove the power cord that goes to your Console from the Power brick as well).

Now, wait for a minute. It is important that you wait for at least 30 seconds and 1 minute preferably to let the power supply reset properly.

After 1 minute, firmly plug the power cable back into the power outlet. Also, connect the console cord to the power brick, but don’t connect to the console yet.

Now check the LED light on the power brick. If it is blinking, connect the power cord to the Console. Do not turn on the console yet.

If the light is still blinking or off, you may need to replace the power supply unit. You can order a replacement easily from the local store or Microsoft Official page.

Now check the lights again. If it is not blinking, then turn on the console and check for any improvements.

2. Other Fixes to Try

Make sure that you are using the power cable that came with your console and it is supported in your region.
Use any other device to check if the power outlet is working with other devices as well.
Once again make sure that the power cable is firmly connected to the wall outlet and your console. Lose connection will not provide adequate power to run the console.
Try directly connecting the power brick to the wall outlet instead of using a surge protector. The Xbox One power brick comes with a built-in surge protector, so you don’t need to worry about the sudden surge in power while diagnosing the console.

If your Xbox One is refusing to boot after the power outage, most of the time the fault is with the Power brick and not the console itself. If resetting the power brick did not resolve the issue, try to replace the power brick with a used one if you get it for cheap.
